No I'm not talking about Tim Wakefield's fastball. I'm talking the World Series of baseball. What I expected to be a heavyweight title bout, ended up being a sparring match in Average Joe's Gymnasium. In fact if you took the time for a little inebriated weekend (like The Dude did) you might have missed the entire series.
The Sox pitching performed admirably, but it's not a hard task when the other team can't hit a belt high fastball. It seamed the Sox cruised through this series like the Pats in the 4th quarter of a football game. Like the Pats they might have given up a score late, but that was only motivation enough for the Sox to score even more runs!
This fan will always remember this postseason for the Sox comeback from the 3-1 defecit to the Tribe, the Rockies miraculous late season run that fell short, and the end of the Torre era in NY. The World Series for entertainment value however, flubbed worse than a Tim McCarver pre-game report.
