Carmelo Anthony pleaded guilty today to drinking and driving on a reduced DUI charge and was sentenced to probation and community service.
He also pleaded guilty to failure to stay in a single lane (Does this look like the mug of some guy who knows how to stay in just one lane?). He was ordered to serve one year on probation, perform 24 hours of community service and pay $1,000 in fees and court costs.
"I'm happy that it's over so I get a chance to take care of my business," Anthony said.
And what business might that be Carmelo? I'm guessing some weed and baby making are in order, but that's just a guess.
Defense attorney Dan Recht was happy with the deal but said Anthony would have gotten a better offer if he weren't a professional basketball player.
"If anything, he was punished more than the average Joe would be punished," Recht said. "The system is always worried about treating celebrities too nicely."
Celebrities should be treated like shit when they fuck up like this. You're a fucking celebrity. You have money to hire a driver Carmelo. If you want to go out and have a few drinks with your posse either get in a damn taxi or hire a driver.
Anthony has been the topic of trade rumors recently with talks of him either heading to the Detroit Pistons or the local ass-pounding prison.

What's really fucked up is that his professional club, the Nuggets, have suspended him for two games but the Olympic team is letting him play. This guy is going over to China to represent our country? F-ing A! With him and Kobe on the team, I'm almost inclined to root against the US.
