I'm down on Hibbert for two reasons: (1) He will be, hands down, the slowest player in the NBA. Yes, slower than Perkins. Yes, slower than Big Z. He is embarassingly slow. And (2) He's 7'2 and never averaged more than 7 boards per game in his 4-year career at G-town. At 7'2! How do you not walk into 10-12 boards a night? That tells me he doesn't have a nose for the ball. Imagine if Leon Powe was 7'2 - easy 12 boards a night. Hibbert might be a good backup center. But that's as high as he goes.
Hinrich's scoring took a dive (as did his shooting) and I find it strange, it being his 5th year. But if the Bulls actually had an inside presence, he would get more open shots and a sure-fire scorer to pass to. His performance improves with a dynamic offensive force like Beasley.
OJ Mayo could end up being another Miles, but I think a year of college ball does a lot for a player (and it might have helped Miles ... ah, probably not). He's a little less of a thug than Miles though.
