Re: Celtic Pride Back in Boston?

The downside is that the C's have become another hot-ticket in Boston, and the C's sold out every ticket package they offered already. Most of the good games are sold-out, and while it'll be nice, there will be a lot of those 'there-to-be-there' fans filtering into the Garden this year (much like at Fenway - it's all about being there, not about seeing a game). Some of the true fans who went last year to see the scrappy young kids will get priced out by the trendy fans.

But who am I to complain. My father went out and got season-tickets back in 1979. That's right folks, my pops & my uncle split stadium-level season tickets for a mere $6/game before Larry Legend played game 1. But they were excited to see the Hick from French Lick, and that paid off (especially in 1986, where my father went to most of the games and saw just 1 loss in person, as the C's went 50-1 at home, including playoffs, that year). But the move from the Garden to the FleetCenter (now the TD Banknorth Garden) was an expensive one, and he's been holding out for another winner, and considering dumping the tickets many times. We've seen a few playoff games in the new building, but hopefully this year, we'll see a lot more, as this team should be that 'another winner'.
