By the way, I totally respect that you are a real fan and you stick with your team. I suffered through years of bad performances from my favorite teams (see Boston teams from the entire '90s - ugh). In fact, one of the most aggravating things about being a dedicated Boston sports fan is all the bandwagon jumping yahoos that now root for my teams (Sox, Celts & Pats). They didn't suffer through the bad times, and they have no knowledge or respect for the history.
The reason I call you crazy is because you shouldn't be getting too excited about this year's team because they are clearly a few years away from being relative in the AL East. And it looks like the Rays are for real and their rebuilding, er, building (need to have been up there once to be rebuilding) process has been successful. You should hope that your new GM can rebuild like the Rays GM has built them.
