WOW. That sums it up. The C's are back. I can't remember being at a C's game with the stadium buzzing like that in sometime. KG did not disappoint and introduced himself to Boston to the tune of 22 points, 20 rebounds, 4 assists & at least 5 sneers & screams. He is a beast - every rebound seemed to go to him. And with KG in the mix, Pierce saw very little double-teams, and made Caron Butler his personal whipping boy. Isn't Butler known as a good defender? Pierce ABUSED him last night. And let's not forget Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo, each who scored at will and rarely saw more than single-coverage (and sometimes none at all).
The Garden was bumping last night. They kicked it off with a classy tribute to Red Auerbach and dedicated the Parquet to him (and probably 1/5 of the crowd asked, "Who's Red Auerbach?" because there was a lot of people there who looked like they hadn't watch the C's in 10 years, if ever). The crowd got fired up for the starting lineups (with the pyrotechnics that left the Garden smokey for the whole 1st quarter, like the old Garden, except that was cigarette & cigar smoke). The crowd was into it for a while, booing and chanting at failed psychic Gilbert Arenas, but when the C's ran away with it, they seemed to lose interest. Ah, sports in Boston, we're so spoiled. And of course, with 4 minutes left in the game, the American Bandstand video featuring superstar Gino played (the new victory cigar). All in all, a great night, and a great start to what should be the best C's season since Larry Legend was wearing the Green.
And one of the more important things, with the C's being a hot ticket, was the return of LOTS of tail in the building. Eye candy everywhere. And I'm not even referring to the Celtics dance team, either (which as being a purist I hated the idea of a dance team, but when you see them live, it grows on you ... very quickly too).

yeah the 2nd game was even better. Too bad the local broadcast lost it's ability to show the equalizer and the winning shot, but regardless great game agaisnt a division opponent...next up Denver!
I will again be in attendance tonight. I will offer my thoughts about tonight's game tomorrow. The Garden should be buzzing too, especially when you consider the star power in tonight's game - KG, Pierce & Allen versus 'Melo, AI & Camby.
Let's look at the situation the Celtics faced last night: They were playing their 3rd game on an 8-day, 5-game road trip, their 2nd game of back-to-back nights, they had exerted lots of energy making a huge comeback against the defending champs the previous night, they were playing against the Western Conference leader, who also had won an incredible 22 straight games, and they were without their 3rd best player, Ray Allen. The deck wasn't exactly stacked in their favor.
